La Monte Young - Dream House

Two more colossal La Monte Young compositions are compiled on Dream House (1973). Some critics rank this disc above even the popular Well-Tuned Piano. Enjoy.

Again thanks.
La Monte Young records are so difficult to find.
Go on, great work.

Same here. I'm lovin' this La Monte Young thread.

BTW, was this originally a single-LP release? Each track is 39 minutes long which is long for a 33-rpm album. The total running time would then bereflected in the full title of the LP: Dream House 78' 17".

Are those tape skips apart of the composition, or are they a mistake?

It sounds cool, but I want to make sure... :-P

I'm really enjoying these raga-esque tracks of La Monte Young. A real service here...

I was wondering that, too. Anybody know about the "tape skip" sounds?

tape edits.. do you mean the glitches throughout "the tortoise.."? cuz thats not tape doing that, thats the type of glitch you get when its a bad mp3 rip. thats too bad, i love that piece. side two sounds ok

Aw man, I was worried about that.

On the other hand, it still sounds interesting, so not all hope is lost!

the link url cuts off visually in my browser too but i've found that if you highlight it anyway and cut + paste the url, it copies the full url address. so its there, you just cant see it until you copy it.
