Terry Riley - Le Secret De La Vie

Thanks to William for this recommendation. Le Secret De La Vie is a Terry Riley movie soundtrack to, as far as I can tell, Klaus Kinski's Lifespan (1974). I can't say it's an outstanding piece of music, but it may be of interest to Riley completionists who've had trouble tracking down this out-of-print rarity.

Terry Riley - La Secret de La Vie and No Man's Land
Two separate albums here, the first from '75, the second from '85.
These albums used to be available on ubu.com, but were sadly removed.

ah yes, the ubu.com Riley selections...
Somewhere in the leroisamuse.blogspot.com archives, you can find the piece that was a companion to these two albums - Songs for the 10 Voices of the 2 Prophets...I actually think it was my first post on the blog...

Very good selections here. Truly unforgettable.

Forgive the spam, but you might be interested in my recent mix of avant classical/shoegaze rock that includes In The Summer. (Or maybe that's where the recommendation first came from? I dunno.)

Off-topic-
A suggestion- perhaps Penderecki's "Dies Irae" or "Dimensions of Time and Silence"?

the two ubu.com Riley albums were taken down on a request from Riley's archivist / librarian -- there are immanent plans to reissue both of these records.

so there will be a chance to buy these soon.

Any chance of getting a new link for this one? I know it's pretty old, but, I had to try.
