Pandit Pran Nath - Ragas of Morning and Night

And now for some classical music outside the European/American tradition! Pandit Pran Nath is a master of Hindustani classical music. His ragas and music teachings were influential on La Monte Young, Terry Riley, Jon Hassell, Don Cherry, Rhys Chatham, and more.

Ragas of Morning and Night is a 1986 out-of-print CD of two 1968 ragas by Pandit Pran Nath.

Wow, awesome resource. I admit I dwell more on the electronic & rock spectrum of the mp3 blog spectrum but this is great.

I would recommend using yousendit over rapidshare. It is much more convenient for the average reader.

It's probably just me, but 19:01 of the way through the first track Pandit blows a raspberry. While singing he just interrupts it with a "pllbbb". It sounds pretty funny if you can catch it!
